Thank you for your interest in working with us here at Crohn’s & Colitis UK.
It is a really exciting time to join the charity, working within our skilled Senior Leadership Team as we shape our future direction.
Every year, 25,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Crohn’s and Colitis, the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). These are chronic conditions for which there is no cure. Many people with Crohn’s and Colitis are trying to navigate complex health issues alone, while struggling to access quality healthcare and support.
As a charity, we have been involved in funding exciting and ground-breaking research into Crohn’s and Colitis, and we continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people who look to us for support.
Our advocacy work is underpinned by a strong evidence base, allowing us to understand the whole range of experiences of everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. It is that insight, along with the ability to identify any gaps in our knowledge, that has helped us bring about real change for people with IBD.
At Crohn’s & Colitis UK, we know that having a lifelong illness isn’t just about getting your physical symptoms under control, it can affect every part of your life. We are here to stand alongside the half-a-million-strong IBD community, ensuring they feel seen, heard and understood.
With the NHS under huge pressure, we must work hard to ensure that the needs of people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease are prioritised. Crohn’s & Colitis UK chairs the IBD UK alliance, and works with key stakeholders, healthcare professionals and partners in the research community.
We are looking for someone who cares about our cause, values and ambitions. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for research, evidence, programme management and delivery, then I urge you to explore this opportunity further. We look forward to receiving your application.
Best wishes,
Marianne Radcliffe,
CEO of Crohn’s & Colitis UK
