Welcome

Thank you for your interest in working with us here at Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

It is a really exciting time to join the Charity, working within our skilled Senior Leadership Team as we shape our future direction.

Every year, 25,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Crohn’s and Colitis, the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). These are chronic conditions for which there is no cure. Many people with Crohn’s and Colitis are trying to navigate complex health issues alone, while struggling to access quality healthcare and support.

At Crohn’s & Colitis UK, we know that having a lifelong illness isn’t just about getting your physical symptoms under control, it can affect every part of your life. We are here to stand alongside the half-a-million-strong IBD community, ensuring they feel seen, heard and understood.

As a charity, we have been involved in funding exciting and ground-breaking research into Crohn’s and Colitis, and we continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people who look to us for support.

Crohn’s & Colitis UK is in a strong financial position and we are proud of the work we have done to raise the prominence of these conditions and normalise the conversation about bowel health. There is no room for complacency, however.

The NHS is under huge pressure, but with a new Government in place, it’s time to turn up the volume as we lobby those in power to ensure that people with IBD get the treatment and care they need, when they need it.

People with Crohn’s and Colitis don’t want to be stuck in hospital or at the bottom of a long list waiting for tests and treatment. They want to be out living full lives and doing all the amazing things we hear about from our members every day.

We are looking for someone who cares about our cause, values and ambitions. If you’re a strategic thinker with a proven track record of influencing and effecting real change, then I urge you to explore this opportunity further. We look forward to receiving your application.

Best wishes,

Marianne Radcliffe,

CEO of Crohn’s & Colitis UK
