Knowledge and experience

  • Minimum 2/3 years experience in senior leadership role, ideally in the non-profit sector
  • Proven experience in developing and building professional relationships
  • Good understanding of management issues in smaller organisations (charity or commercial sector)
  • Experience of fundraising and income generation, with a track record of securing significant funding
  • Experience of managing budgets and finances

  • Excellent communicator at individual and group levels, in writing, by phone/online and in person
  • Insight and vision to identify gaps in provision of services to charities, to develop new activities, making the most of the Trust’s capabilities, and to continue to develop the Trust as a key service provider

  • Effective influencing and presentation skills
  • Highly organised, with the ability to maintain multiple activities in parallel
  • Collaborative approach to working with the Board and colleagues
