They:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand and support the work of the charity, including funding, fundraising and public engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute actively to the Board in giving strategic direction to the charity, agreeing overall strategy, policy, targets, and evaluating performance thereon.<\/li>\n<li>Act as ambassadors for Comic Relief and safeguard its good name and values, being collectively responsible for the actions of the charity and other Trustees.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that resources are applied to achieve collective objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the financial position, ensuring that Comic Relief operates within its means, is well managed and properly invests the charity\u2019s funds.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that Comic Relief takes reasonable steps to protect from harm people who interact with the charity, be it as a partner, beneficiary, member of staff, volunteer or in other ways related to Comic Relief\u2019s work.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that Comic Relief complies with charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Use any specific skills, knowledge, or experience to help the Board reach sound decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and support the Executive to:\n<ul>\n<li>Foster a culture that is inclusive and allows Trustees and Colleagues to thrive.<\/li>\n<li>Achieve its Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging ambitions and strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Act in a non-executive capacity, providing relevant input, experience and guidance to the Executive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Terms of Appointment<\/h3>\n<p>Trustees are appointed for a term of three years, renewable for two further terms.<\/p>\n<p>The Board meets 5 times per year and meetings are held in London.<\/p>\n<p>The time commitment for this role is 1-2 days per month.<\/p>\n<p>The role of Trustee is unremunerated.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-11","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/11","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=11"}],"version-history":[{"count":22,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/11\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":230,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/11\/revisions\/230"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/comicrelief\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
