Experience
- Substantial senior leadership experience which has included evaluating and improving organisational performance, and planning, implementing and managing
- Previous experience of operating in the animal welfare sector delivering welfare and service outcomes through a complex organisational design
- Extensive experience in delivering services through complex structures. Federation type experience useful
- Experience of working with the veterinary profession including the provision of expert advice and standards
- Significant experience of delivering services and standards of animal welfare care through volunteering models
- Significant experience of developing and implementing successful development strategies in line with an organisation’s strategic aims
- Significant experience of planning, including setting, managing and monitoring budgets
- Significant experience in cultural, change and relationship management
- Previous experience of working in a role which carries Safeguarding operational responsibility

Knowledge and qualifications
- Understanding of Cats Protection’s operations
- Understanding of other operational models and approaches to service design and delivery
- A competent level of IT literacy including relevant MS applications
