The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering on the organisation\u2019s mission, working closely with the board to ensure that the organisation remains aligned with its <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/btrustteam\/board-book\/blob\/main\/vision\/genesis_principles.md\">Genesis Principles<\/a> and Operational Guidelines.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaboration with the board on long-term strategic and shorter-term operational planning to deliver on \u20bftrust\u2019s objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and leading day-to-day delivery of periodic (e.g., annual) operational plans and models, including for human and financial resourcing in alignment with <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/btrustteam\/board-book\/blob\/main\/vision\/genesis_principles.md\">Genesis Principles.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Proactively source and attract top developer talent, with a focus on underrepresented communities in the Global South.<\/li>\n<li>Articulate \u20bftrust\u2019s mission and values to motivate engineers to commit their skills and time to Bitcoin\u2019s open-source ecosystem.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure supported developers have the mentorship, resources, and operational backing they need, from onboarding through ongoing project work to succeed and grow.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of \u20bftrust\u2019s finances and budgeting, including periodic (annual, quarterly, monthly, and ongoing) financial plans and forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Quarterly Reporting to the board against operational plans, showing operational and financial trends and results.<\/li>\n<li>Providing team leadership to ensure organisational policies and culture are in alignment with Genesis Principles and Good Practice, including regarding Duty of Care.<\/li>\n<li>In the longer term, working to secure additional not-for-profit funding sources to support the ongoing mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Reporting Lines<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Chief Executive Officer will report to the \u20bftrust board.<\/li>\n<li>They will be expected to have monthly meetings with the board for the first 6 months, potentially reducing to quarterly beyond this point.\n<ul>\n<li>Meetings will cover updates on all operational and financial aspects of the company\u2019s operations.<\/li>\n<li>General updates on the ecosystem in which the organisation operates.<\/li>\n<li>Any other matters that the board requires, as applicable to the operations of the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-9","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/9","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=9"}],"version-history":[{"count":13,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/9\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":97,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/9\/revisions\/97"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/btrust\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
