As Co-CEO, I am delighted to invite you to explore two exciting leadership opportunities &#8211; Head of Schools and Head of Programme for Children from Vulnerable Backgrounds. These roles are pivotal to our mission of ensuring every child, regardless of background or circumstance, has the opportunity to develop a lifelong love of reading.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fantastic time to join BookTrust. In 2025, we launched our five-year strategy, Reading for a Brighter Future, setting ambitious goals to transform children\u2019s reading experiences. With a renewed focus on schools and children from vulnerable backgrounds, in addition to our flagship Bookstart programme for families in the early years, we are expanding our reach and deepening our impact. The Head of Schools will spearhead our work with primary and secondary schools, bringing together existing activity, delivering new offers, forging strong partnerships, and building sustainable income streams. Meanwhile, the Head of Programme for Children from Vulnerable Backgrounds will lead our growth in this critical area, reviewing and transforming our internal operating model and the way we work with delivery partners, and leading our programme of work across the organisation to reach ambitious new targets for supporting children from vulnerable backgrounds.\u00a0 Both roles offer the chance to shape strategy, drive collaboration, and lead change at a national scale.<\/p>\n<p>At BookTrust, we believe the power of reading can unlock brighter futures and help children overcome disadvantage.
