We work in communities where we can make the biggest difference to children’s lives. This is a critical role which provides essential strategic leadership to an organisation responsible for the education of 30,000 children across the country.
Our Trustee Board and Committees work in tandem with our central team and Local Governing Bodies (LGBs) to pursue our mission to give every young person, regardless of their background, a great education and real choices in life.
Our Board and Committees set organisational strategy, oversee educational and financial outcomes, and ensure all statutory duties are fulfilled. As well as these governance responsibilities, Board and Committee members act as strong advocates for Ark Schools and uphold Ark’s commitment to bring value and support to the wider education sector.
Our Risk and Audit Committee undertakes in-depth scrutiny of our financial and operational delivery, working in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer. The role of Risk and Audit Committee Chair is pivotal to ensuring strong oversight of finance and governance across the trust and ensuring strong flows of information and reporting between the Committee and Board.
