PART ONE
We require the following experience and qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (eg CCAB) or equivalent qualification and significant relevant experience at an equivalent level;
- High profile track record of senior leadership in finance and/or business management and achievement within an organisation of a similar scale and complexity to Futures Housing Group whether in the commercial, public or third sectors.
- Recent experience of an audit & risk function;
- Chairing Boards/Committees, dealing with audit related issues such as governance, risk and value for money, ensuring high performance and good decision-making.
- Experience of operating within a highly regulated sector and ideally an understanding of the regulatory framework for registered providers of social housing;
- Knowledge of corporate governance and/or the housing sector and the environment within which it operates.

- Non-executive leadership – ability to lead the Committee with an appreciation of the respective roles of the Group Chair & Board and the Chief Executive & other staff.

- Able to express views succinctly and effectively in a meeting environment, summarising reasoned and considered contributions to draw a conclusion;

- Strong environmental and strategic awareness and ability to identify emerging external factors that may impact on strategy implementation or plans;
- Employs good communication and interpersonal skills.
