The Board has a vital role to play in shaping the organisation\u2019s strategy and vision. It also has an important role to play in ensuring that CCHA delivers a people focused culture, achieving high levels of customer and staff satisfaction and offering choices which meet customers\u2019 needs and expectations.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>Board Member responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approving the Corporate Strategy for CCHA and monitoring to ensure we achieve CCHA\u2019s purpose in line with our values.<\/li>\n<li>Setting and modelling a positive culture, with a strong people focus.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the needs and safety of the organisation\u2019s current and future residents, other customers and staff are placed at the heart of the Board&#8217;s decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that CCHA achieves value for money through all of its operations.<\/li>\n<li>Providing oversight, direction and constructive challenge to CCHA&#8217;s Chief Executive and executives.<\/li>\n<li>The appointment and, if necessary, dismissal of the Chief Executive.<\/li>\n<li>Being satisfied as to the integrity of financial information, approving each year&#8217;s budget, Financial Plan and annual accounts prior to publication.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring Financial Plans are stress-tested and that we maintain compliance with our Golden Rules.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing, overseeing and reviewing a framework of delegation and systems of internal control.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing, overseeing and reviewing a framework to ensure CCHA meets its responsibilities on statutory and regulatory compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing and overseeing a risk management and assurance framework.<\/li>\n<li>Safeguarding the assets and reputation of CCHA.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that CCHA fulfils its duties and responsibilities lawfully and in accordance with its Rules, regulatory requirements and probity.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing for, attending and contributing at Board meetings, any Committees of the Board and Board Working Groups.<\/li>\n<li>Promoting, supporting and representing the work of CCHA in a positive manner.<\/li>\n<li>Participating in an individual performance appraisal and in group Board and Committee effectiveness appraisals.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and maintaining good working relationships with the Board Chair, colleagues and executive officers.<\/li>\n<li>Promoting and upholding the values of CCHA and abiding by the Code of Conduct.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to the above responsibilities, there will be a requirement for Board Members to sit on Committee(s) of the Board and potentially on Board Working Groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-13","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=13"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":71,"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13\/revisions\/71"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/micro.green-park.co.uk\/altair-ccha\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=13"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
