Commitment required
- Board meetings are held six times per year. Five meetings are in person, two in Newcastle, two in Carlisle and one in Workington. The sixth meeting is held on Teams. Two of these are Board Conference events, which usually include an overnight stay. Our Board meeting dates for the remainder of 2024 are:
- In addition to main Board commitments, Board Members are expected to sit on at least one Committee (Audit & Risk; Finance & Investment; Staffing & Governance). Committee meetings are held four times per year. Two meetings are held face-to-face and two meetings on Teams. Members are provided with IT equipment and training.
- It is important that Members are able to be flexible regarding any permanent employment or other commitments they have. Board Members are expected to adhere to strict standards of attendance and punctuality and to have read all the required documents and reports.
