CCHA was created in July 2017 following the merger of Two Castles and Derwent & Solway Housing Associations. CCHA owns and manages more almost 7,400 homes in rural and urban communities across the north of England.

CCHA has an annual turnover of around £36m and employs over 290 colleagues. We are investing significantly in providing new affordable homes, with plans to develop 600 homes during the lifespan of our current Corporate Strategy – see ‘further reading’ links below.
Governance Structure
CCHA is governed by the Board, which is responsible for making strategic decisions and setting the strategies and direction of the organisation. The Board is supported by three Committees, each with specific areas of responsibility and delegations, which report back to the Board. The Committees are Audit & Risk, Finance & Investment, and Staffing & Governance. Board Members sit on at least one Committee and may be asked to serve on Board Working Groups. The Residents’ Scrutiny Panel is made up of residents of the Association and reports directly to Audit & Risk Committee.
