Time Commitment and Eligibility

The post of Chair is a part-time, temporarily paid, non-executive appointment. This will be a paid appointment until the application to the Charity Commission is submitted and the Director of the new organisation has been appointed and in post. The post of Chair will then revert to a part-time, non-executive appointment.

The time commitment will be 6 – 8 days per month in the initial set up phase. Once the Charity Commission application is submitted and the Director is in post, the time commitment will equate to 2 days per month with the ability to flex upwards should the need arise plus attendance at relevant artistic events.

Applications are welcomed regardless of gender, age, marital status, disability, religion, ethnic origin, political opinion, sexual orientation, or whether or not you have dependents.

Appointments are made on merit, following a fair and transparent process.

This will be a paid appointment until the application to the Charity Commission is submitted and the Director of the new organisation has been appointed and in post. The post of Chair will then revert to a part-time, non-executive appointment. During this ‘launch-phase’ and until the Director is in post, the role is paid and requires a time commitment of 2 days a week. We anticipate that the ‘launch-phase’ will last 6-months, and the payment for this 6-month period will be £8,750 (£1458.33 per month).
