About Us

100x is a world-leading impact initiative based at the London School of Economics with a mission to scale social innovations that can positively impact the lives of hundreds of millions of people. 100x supports and learns from the most promising and scalable social ventures tackling the world’s most pressing social problems, spanning health, climate change, social inequality, and more.

Partnering with the LSE’s Marshall Institute and anchored with a £55 million philanthropic gift, 100x leverages the LSE’s expertise and resources to support selected cohorts of social ventures with financial, intellectual and social capital to accelerate their scaling journey. In addition to providing £150,000 in grant capital to each selected venture, and follow-on investments into the portfolio, we enrich cohorts with a 12-week hybrid programme and ongoing support, connecting ventures with world leading academics at LSE. In its first two years, 100x has received over 3,500 applications and supported 35 ventures from across the world, collectively impacting 150 million lives.

100x sits at the intersection of evidence-based research and entrepreneurship, positioning it as a model for how the best financial, intellectual and network support can drive systemic change. 100x looks to find meaningful answers through a unique combination of academic rigour and bold, practical action: by supporting impact ventures to achieve scale and sharing insights to inspire a global movement of scalable impact models. The 100x team has expertise across venture-building, impact investing, operations and social impact, and works with top-tier delivery partners to provide bespoke support to each venture.
